It has been wonderful to see so many of you back in the club and venturing out to enjoy Member Experiences around town and I’m delighted to see that some of my previous suggestions have hit the mark!

With the majority of international travel still on pause and with the school holidays a few weeks’ away, I thought I would highlight some ideas suitable for all different age groups.
 
Theatre Month - Free Children’s Tickets from 1st – 31st August

During ‘Kids Week’ (it used to only last a week hence the name), a child (aged 17 and under) goes free when accompanied by a full paying adult to over 20 West End shows throughout August.
Additional children go half price.

Dodge at Somerset House

The famous courtyard of Somerset House will be home to dodgems and street food for the month of July.  These are not just any run-of-the-mill, ho-hum, garden variety funfair bumper cars either – these will be musical dodgems.
All advance bookings include the dodgems ride and a drink.
Under 12’s gets unlimited free rides on the dodgems every Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
 
Taste of London, Regent’s Park

One for the foodies, this wonderful 10-day festival of food mixes the hottest London restaurants with future food heroes. Plenty of Pimm’s & Champers are also to be found. The full list of participating restaurants can be found here: https://london.tastefestivals.com/restaurants/
 
Shakespeare in the Garden

Hosted across a number of Fuller’s venues, this outdoor theatre experience allows you to immerse yourself in a unique performance of Shakespeare as it was intended – informal, outrageous and with a beer in hand. https://www.fullers.co.uk/event-finder/shakespeare-in-the-garden
 
Coexistence, Green Park and St James’s Park

This wonderful environmental art exhibition is the largest outdoor exhibition of the summer with 100 life-sized elephant sculptures stomping their way slowly around the globe as part of their world tour. Until 23rd July, you can find them in Green Park. Each of the 100 Asian elephants was made by communities in the Nilgiri Hills of Southern India.
 
Museum of the Home

Located in Hoxton, this wonderful free museum has just had a recent multi-million-pound refit which has seen it almost double in size. It explores home and home life from 1600 to the present day with a series of period room displays. There are ten in all, spanning almost 400 years' worth of domestic life. As you wander through them, you can witness first-hand how home life has evolved over the centuries. Outside, a similar trick is pulled, courtesy of 'Gardens Through Time'.
