Members are invited to a day out in Greenwich on 8 September. We will start the day with a visit to the Thames Barrier Information Centre for a private talk and tour about the working of the Thames, it’s past, present and future. Following this unique experience, we will make our way to The Old Royal Naval College for afternoon tea and a guided tour through its 600 years of history that will allow us to explore this magnificent building, including the Painted Hall.
After the tour we will make our way to Greenwich Pier to take the Thames Clipper back to Embankment, a very picturesque route back to the club, passing many of London’s iconic landmarks by water.
Once back at the club we will have a sparkling reception at 18:00, followed by dinner at 18:45.
